Law Enforcement Guidelines.
Contact: law-enforcement and emergency disclosure requests should be sent from an official agency email address to hello@meetnela.com. Nela is operated by Tarek Sadi, Kopischstr. 1, 10965 Berlin, Germany.
Required information: include the requesting officer's name, agency, badge or identification number, official email and telephone number; the legal authority for the request; clear identifiers for the person or account; the records requested; the relevant date range; and a response deadline. Requests must be legally binding on Nela. Foreign authorities may need to use the applicable cross-border legal process.
Emergency requests: if disclosure is sought without ordinary legal process, explain the imminent risk of death or serious physical harm, why the requested records are necessary, and why normal process cannot be used in time. Nela reviews emergency requests individually and may ask for verification or follow-up legal process.
Preservation requests: identify the person, records, and date range precisely. Where legally valid, Nela will preserve identified existing records for the required period. Preservation does not create records Nela does not have or restore records already deleted.
Review and disclosure: Nela verifies the requester and legal basis, narrows overbroad requests, records its handling, and discloses only data legally required or permitted. Responsive data is delivered through a secure method. Nela may notify the affected person unless law, court order, or a credible safety risk prevents notice.
Records potentially available: depending on how someone used Nela and applicable retention, records may include signup contact details and consent timestamps, intake information and transcript, Telegram interaction history and submitted photos, matching activity, safety reports, and payment records. Nela does not maintain public profiles or a public message feed.
Immediate danger: contact German police on 110 or emergency services on 112. Email is not monitored as an emergency dispatch service.
